Objective:

Launch a podcast exploring the power of music as a medium for conversation; cover boundless topics with a diverse selection of guests from within the music industry and beyond.

Process:

This project simmered in my creative brain center for years before finally coming together. Music has always been a source for connection and indirect learning for me, and and I wanted to craft a show that celebrated music’s role in sharing ideas. I was also really excited about the opportunity to exchange meaningful songs with so many people.

We finally launched in November 2024 after partnering with Hey Awesome Girl. Each episode features 3 recurring hosts, 1 guest, and a collaborative playlist. We listen to each song together and share our thoughts, experiences, and random associations with each other in a conversational show-and-tell.

The format presents some challenges, making clear communication with listeners crucial. Without the budget to license 12 songs per episode, the music and the commentary have to be separated. Listeners are invited to pair the episode commentary with the music on a published playlist.
