Objective:
Introduce a telehealth system designed to provide expert knowledge and care to victims of sexual assault, especially in rural and underserved areas; illustrate the benefits to patients, hospitals, and nurses in a series of videos that makes the technology easy to understand.
Process:
SAFE-T System provides 24/7 access to expert Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, providing much needed care in areas where it is commonly inaccessible. There are multiple levels to explaining the services this company offers, making precise messaging very important. We broke this series into three videos addressed to the three main audiences that benefit from the technology: the patient, the hospital administrator, and the nurse practitioner.
The Patient
The core mission of SAFE-T System is to improve patient care. Outlining the benefits of trauma-informed care and providing research to support them is easy, but we also wanted to connect viewers to the patient. We felt it was important to show nuance in the emotional state of the patient, providing a realistic representation of someone in shock following a traumatic experience.
