Client: NC Counts, NC DHHS
Agency: Hey Awesome Girl
Roles: Art Director
Objective:
Create cohesive branding for a bilingual initiative aimed at increasing vaccination rates in marginalized communities. Incorporate cobranding options featuring the logos of both sponsoring organizations, and support the organization’s grassroots efforts with printed educational materials.
Process:
Healthier Together is a public-private partnership formed to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates among historically marginalized populations across the state of North Carolina. Communities highlighted in the initiative included Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).
The project began by establishing branding guidelines that would allow flexible use despite several technical requirements.
- It needed to be applied in both Spanish and English.
- The full version needed to cobrand both partner organizations with their full logos.
- It needed to include the organizational tagline.
The final branding concept incorporated elements of both partner organizations to maximize compatibility and cohesion throughout all materials.
Additional Materials:
Over the course of the project, I led our team in creating handbills, brochures, doorhangers, posters, social media content, videos, and various other materials to spread awareness and educate residents of the benefits of vaccination. Content was driven by feedback from team members working directly within the community and informed by research completed by NC DHHS.
